Located near the historic town of Castro Marim this course runs through undulating hills dotted with pines and some views across the River Guadiana to neighbouring Spain.
This course calls for careful play with strategically placed water hazards and fairway terrain that can place you in trouble. This is not mention the well located bunkers waiting for an erring ball. The par-3 on the seventeenth is a hole that calls for special club selection with bunkers in front of the green and a lake behind, whilst at the same time subject to the prevailing winds off the sea.

Castro Marim Driving Directions
Via Infante (A22) - Take Castro Marim Exit-17 on the far east end of the Algarve before you arrive at the River Guadiana bridge. Immediately turn left back under the Via Infante in a northern direction. About 1 km later at the top of a rise on the left hand side is the entrance to the course.

Castro Marim Comments
Played the new 9 hole side, and a great first hole dog leg left. Then the 'old' first 9 holes. The new side I felt played much longer than the original 18 holes and this is to the credit of the golf club making it more interesting. As this side only opened I believe last May, it obviously needs to establish a little. Saying this, the greens were 'spot on' with just the fairways needing to green up a little. All in all, a great golf clubs and courses, well worth playing.

Excellent greens, tight fairways, great views & friendly staff, requires using your head rather than just the driver off the tee.
