Quinta de Cima is considered a Championship level course and it will give most golfers an enjoyable challenge. It has basically open fairways running over land dotted with almond trees with strategically placed bunkers and water hazards to take possession of any bad shots. Holes one and two quickly make any player realise the need for careful club selection combined combined with accuracy. The par-5 sixteenth hole and the challenging eighteenth are already noted for the problems they give the golfer.

Quinta de Cima Driving Directions
Via Infante (A22) - Tavira Exit-15 and at first roundabout take road to Tavira. At the next roundabout which is on the Road EN 125 bear to the left to go east. Drive in the direction of Vila Real de Santo António and Spain. The course is about 8 kms east of Tavira on the right hand side of this road and there is a road sign indicating the turning to the Course on the side of the road.

This course is the equal of any I have played on the Algarve both for condition, location and test of golf. We are single handicap golfers and make a point of coming here to play every year.

OK, I went round in 10 under but a course like this deserves your best shots. GPS in the buggy and easy to spot distance markers help a lot. Take plenty to drink or the John Smith's at the 19th will go down in one. Too good.
